This CD was very cool to listen to. Allen Shadow reminds me of a cross between Lou Reed and Bruce Springsteen. His voice has that Lou Reed quality and his songwriting has that Bruce Springsteen story telling quality. This guy sets poetry to music and tells stories about life in the big city and the harsh realities that surround us. Definitely an interesting gem that I had the opportunity to get a hold of. It's quite blues sounding with poetic lyrics.
